Hallo,
mein Name ist Vince (Vincent van Dorrestein).
Schon als ich noch sehr jung war, entdeckte ich meine Liebe für Kreativität und Kunst. Ich zeichnete ständig, auch als ich eigentlich im Unterricht in der Schule aufpassen musste. Deswegen musste ich auch dauernd nachsitzen.
Nach der Berufsschule habe ich zuerst ein paar Jahre als Restaurator und Maler gearbeitet. Ich bemerkte, dass dies nicht das war, was mich glücklich machen würde. Ich wollte mehr kreativ tätig sein. Ich legte meinen Fokus noch mehr zu aufs Zeichnen und Malen und bin 2010 mit meinem Portfolio unterm Arm in ein Tattoo Studio gegangen, um mich als Lehrling zu bewerben. Im Studio war man sehr begeistert und ich durfte eine Woche später als Lehrling anfangen! Schon nach einem halben Jahr durfte ich mein erstes Tattoo stechen. Das war natürlich sehr aufregend und cool für mich zugleich.
So habe ich noch ein paar Monate weiter gemacht, musste dann aber doch zurückkehren in meinen alten Beruf, um ich wieder etwas Geld zu verdienen. Mein Sparschwein war nämlich nach einem Jahr Lehrlingsdasein ganz schön leer. Ich habe viel und hart gearbeitet, um Geld zu sparen und mich danach beim Tattoo Studio L’ Extremiste in Arnhem zu bewerben.
Hier hab ich als Lehrling das Tätowieren neu gelernt. Meine Lehrmeister waren Jeroen Boele und Verb. Diesen beiden verdanke ich, was ich heute weiß und kann. Neben dem Tätowieren bei L’ Extremiste habe ich auch noch drei Jahre bei Tattoo Mania in Apeldoorn gearbeitet.
Heute findet man mich wieder fulltime bei L’ Extremiste und als Gasttätowierer beim tollen Team von Andy’s Body Electric.
Meine Vorliebe gilt Custom-Arbeit im Realistic-Stil, New School und Lettering, sowohl black and grey, als auch Full Color.

my name is Vince (Vincent van Dorrestein).
At a young age I was already creative and interested in art. I was always drawing, even if I had to pay attention in school during classes. For that I got lots of times detention.
After vocational school I started working as a restorer and painter. After a while I discovered this was not what will make me happy and I wanted to do more creative stuff. After more drawing and painting, I went with my portfolio to a tattoo studio to apply for an apprenticeship. They where enthusiastic about my work and a week later I started as their apprentice. After about half a year, I did my very first tattoo. For me this was exciting and cool at the same time! I continued tattooing here for a few more month until I had to go back working as my profession I did before, because my piggybank was almost empty after a year of apprenticeship. I worked a lot and hard for my money and showed after a while up at the doorstep of tattoo studio L’ Extremiste in Arnhem to start my career as a tattooer there.
They where excited about my work and here I started all over again and learned tattooing from Jeroen Boele and Verb. I see those two as my masters. Next to working at L’ Extremiste, I worked also three years at Tattoo Mania in Apeldoorn as a tattoo artist.
Today you can find my fulltime at the tattoo studio L’ Extremiste and as a guest artist at the great team from Andy’s Body Electric.
I prefer custom work in realism, new school and lettering. Both black and grey and full color.
